After my last race in Donington I have been quite busy again. As soon
as I returned from the UK, I took part in the annual football charity
match of F1 drivers vs. Monaco Star Team. This year we managed to win
6:4 and it was a pleasant evening for every one.
During Thursday's F1 and GP2 free practice sessions I
made a short visit to the track to see my friends and colleagues. On Friday I
left to Pau
where I than competed in the Historic Grand Prix in order to learn this difficult
street circuit. This was the perfect way to get a head start on my opposition
for this weekends F3 race in the streets of Pau.
I raced in the prototype class in a Lotus 23B from 1968 sharing the drive with
my team mate Christian Bakkerud. It was a very enjoyable experience and
together we won our class comfortably.
Pau
is a very technical and demanding street circuit as it combines very fast
sections and slower parts. I believe it will be very beneficial to us, that I
now know the track. My aim for this weekend is once again to get two podium
finishes and I will try everything to repeat my win there from the Historic Grand
Prix.
