After a great two week break, we're back racing again this weekend, at the Thruxton circuit in Hampshire. Its been great to spend some time at home with my friends and family over the last few weeks, I have barely been home in the last month, with all the racing and testing we have completed recently.
Thruxton is a very high speed circuit and we are testing at Pembrey this week to perfect our low downforce set up.
The team have provided me with a very good car recently and together with the fact that Carlin have a good record at Thruxton, I think we are looking strong ahead of the weekend.
Podiums are a realistic aim this weekend, and of course we are still aiming to win races and to keep the championship open for as long as possible. Admittedly Marko Asmer has a substantial lead in the championship now, but I won't give up on the championship until it is mathematically impossible. Even if that does become the case, I race to win, and that won't change no matter what the championship situation.
I'll keep you posted as to how I get on!
