  • Mücke Motorsport compete not only in DTM with the AMG Mercedes CClass but also in the Formula 3 Euro Series powered by Mercedes Formula 3 engines
  • Ex-Formula One drivers Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard both completed their DTM ‘rookie’ year driving for Mücke Motorsport
  • In 2011, Maro Engel and David Coulthard will once again be representing Mücke Motorsport on the track

Team Principal Peter Mücke has dedicated his adult life to motor racing. Born in East Berlin, he acquired his first taste for the sport zooming around in a Trabant. After setting up his team in 1998, Peter Mücke (who still likes to get behind the wheel himself in classic touring car races) worked hard to establish Mücke Motorsport in various regional and national series.

Through his long involvement in the Formula 3 Euro Series (one of the support series to DTM), Mücke has become a familiar figure in the DTM paddock over the years. Some of his former protégés are now well known in their own right. No fewer than six future Formula One stars – Christian Klien, Robert Kubica, Sebastian Vettel, Markus Winkelhock, Sebastien Buemi and Sergio Perez – drove at one time or another for Peter Mücke in various junior series.

The racing team from the Berlin suburb of Altglienicke made its entry to DTM in the 2005 season. In the years 2006 and 2007, Mücke Motorsport increased their participation by entering three cars. In subsequent years, the number has gone down to two. In 2011, the team is once again sending two 2008-spec AMG Mercedes C-Class into the fray.
