Dear Fans,
looking back to my first test of the 2009 season I must say: it was a fantastic feeling to be back in my DTM race car and see all the guys from Mücke Motorsport again. It was a great pleasure to drive in Hockenheim again. For me it was the first test in the 2008 C-class and I am thrilled by the car. Also, because the mechanics and engineers did a very good job and prepared the car perfectly for me. I would like to thank my entire crew again, as it was a real pleasure to drive the car.
Despite the 6-month break I got back into the groove very quickly and we were able to concentrate fully on our test program. Over 200 laps and thus nearly 1000 kilometers was the result of our two test days. My Mercedes C-class ran perfectly and also our lap times give me confidence. Naturally nobody has showed their full potential during the last test before the season opener and whether I can also confirm the front running pace we will see, in the first Qualifying of the year. Still I am confident that we can achieve our aim: scoring points. The next time I will sit behind the wheel of the C-class will be the first free practice of the season opener. I am convinced that my boys from Mücke Motorsport will give me a perfectly prepared car, so it will be up to me to make the most of it.
I really look forward to the season start now. Keep your fingers crossed for me that we can start the season with a success.
